ALRA acknowledges not enough has been done to tackle racism. We can and will do more and better.

ALRA acknowledges that where students have felt hurt or let down by their experiences, we have not done enough to support them.

We apologise unreservedly for every injustice they feel as a result.

ALRA, through its Trustees, Management, Alumni and students held an open conversation on June 2nd to listen to all voices before this statement was made.

Those voices have informed the following steps we, the ALRA community, will take to continue and hasten the work already being done to make ALRA better. We are actively prioritising open conversation about racism, seeking the elimination of racism in all its forms and preparing to make further changes which will create an increasingly equitable culture within the school and positively impact the industry at large. Our Global Majority Working Group will now be empowered to approve those changes and hold us to account.
