About the play
It’s 1939 and J Robert Oppenheimer is an influential and charismatic physicist devoted to understanding the building blocks of the universe. But as Fascism spreads across Europe, his work becomes intertwined with that of the American military. Tom Morton-Smith’s play examines the moment when science and politics collide giving us a remarkable picture of the father of the atomic bomb.
