Eleanor Bennett in Before the Party

Eleanor Bennett headshotSince graduating from ALRA's BA in Acting course in 2014, Eleanor Bennett has gone on to achieve a varied acting career. She has been involved in a Theatre in Education (TIE) tour, a nation-wide tour of the hit children's show Lazy Town: Live, an online commercial for Tefal and a TV commercial for Spotify.

One of her upcoming projects, Before the Party, is a Salisbury Playhouse Production in which she will be appearing as Susan. The production, based on a short story by W. Somerset Maugham and directed by Rodney Ackland, is a hilarious and "sizzling portrayal of the upper middle classes adjusting to post-war life", according to the production's creators.

Before the Party will be running from Thursday 4th until Saturday 27th May this year at the Main House stage. Find out more on the Salisbury Playhouse website.

In another recent project, Eleanor played the role of Bekkaj in the pilot episode for a new CBBC sitcom called Dysfunctional at the Z-Arts centre in Salford, directed by Mrs Brown's Boys' Ben Kellett. This was her second outing with the CBBC as she previously appeared as Kat in 2015's Dixi 2: Dixi Unchained.

Commenting on her various roles and experience in the industry so far, Eleanor told us:

"I am often complimented by industry professionals on my work ethic, professionalism and skills, most of which are down to my training whilst at ALRA".

We are pleased to see Eleanor doing so well after graduating from ALRA and look forward to hearing more about her achievements in the future.
