Alumni Update: Emily Heyworth & Ciaran Wilson, Alice Sillett and Weetus Cren

Emily Heyworth and Ciaran Wilson play Princess Diana

emily heyworthALRA graduates Emily Heyworth and Ciaran Wilson have both been cast to play Princess Diana in upcoming Inkbrew production Die Diana.

The eagerly anticipated play which examines conspiracy theories is written by Stephen M. Hornby and Diana is played by three different people, two of which are ALRA graduates Heyworth and Wilson.Ciaran wilson

The play will make its premiere at Bandit Mugger and Thief on Manchester's Canal Street on Wednesday 29th June and will run until Friday 5th July as a part of Greater Manchester Fringe 2016.

Alice Sillett's Illuminate Festival welcomed in its second year

alice sillettWe are really proud of ALRA alumni and Co-Artistic Directors' Alice Sillett for co-founding Illuminate Festival alongside Sarah Dullaghan.

Illuminate presents audiences and artists with the opportunity to experience something new wrapped in an affordable and friendly package catered to all ages. The festival showcases a wide variety of genres such as spoken word and even puppetry!

In an interview with Wimbledon Guardian Alice has said:

"What we’ve got on is very exciting and very fresh and we’re working in a really versatile space making it welcoming and accessible to everyone. I know some people can be intimidated by the theatre but we’ve created a really welcoming and local feel".

Weetus Cren stars in sci-fi thriller Teleios

weetus crenALRA graduate Weetus Cren is the leading actor for new sci-fi thriller Teleios written and directed by Ian Truitner. The movie is an official selection at the Sci Fi London Film Festival and had its premiere this week on May 2nd.

The story, which follows five genetically engineered 'perfect' humans who are sent on a rescue mission, has received positive reviews. Congratulations Weetus on yet another success!
